My name is Bartu Bilgen. I work as a Research Assistant in the Middle East Technical University, Department of Civil Engineering. I am doing my Master’s in the Structural Engineering division.
I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in 2024 as the Valedictorian of my class
My research focuses on Earthquake Engineering & Engineering Seismology. I work on 3-D Physics Based Ground Motion simulations using the spectral element method (SEM).
Besides my academic work, I am passionate about music, cinema and all forms of art. I worked as a radio host for 4 years, hosting various live drive-time radio programs such as a Traffic Show or a Top 40 Countdown. I loved talking about pop culture specficially.
